Parents Bonaire
With the BES(t) 4 kids program, the quality and accessibility of daycare and out-of-school care will improve. What does this mean for parents and children? Below you can find the most frequently asked questions and answers.
What will change for parents and children?
The quality of daycare and out-of-school care is improving. Where possible, the rates for many parents have also been lowered.
What will I notice of quality improvements?
Various measures are being taken to improve quality. Staff are being trained, and requirements are set for their level of education. Housing is being improved, and inspectors monitor compliance with all quality standards. Additionally, more attention is being given to ideas and questions from parents. For example, you can inquire about the pedagogical plan and join a parent committee to have more input.
What will I notice financially?
Since 2021, childcare rates have been reduced. If your parental contribution was already lower than the maximum amount, you may not have noticed much of a change.
Where can I go if I am not satisfied with the care of my child?
If you are dissatisfied with your childcare, it is best to first discuss the issues directly with the childcare provider. If you are unable to reach a resolution together, you can consult the childcare front office at OLB for financial matters. If you have concerns about the quality of childcare or how your child is being treated, you can contact the childcare field coordinator at Sentro Akseso for advice.
