Early signalling
Early signalling (first 1,000 days). Parents, professionals, and social workers play an important role in the first years of life. Young children are often not able to properly indicate what is going on yet. That is why it is important that you, as a pedagogical professional, observe well, recognise signals, and raise them for discussion. This way, you can really make a difference in the development of a child. That is why in this module you learn:
- What early signalling is and why it is important.
- What risky factors are for children during the first 1,000 days.
- To recognise signals in the development of children.
- To discuss concerns with parents.
- To take appropriate steps in terms of colleagues or professionals.
